KFI's Mission

KFI's mission is to co-build social enterprises of the rural poor in Mindanao. KFI pursues this vision and mission through a two-prolonged strategy. The firs is by demonstrating models of agrarian reform communities that range from lowland and hillside family farms to large plantations collectively owned and managed by workers as well as upland ancestral domains and forest lands. Government, market and civil society converge in these communities. The second prong is to undertake policy and advocacy and mobilize resources for investment from local and national governments, bilateral and multilateral donor development agencies and the corporate sector.
